Any information you require on treatment is available online, in leaflets at reception, or our staff will always take the time to answer your questions.
Our mission statement is simple, your health and wellbeing. A dermatologist in London is in a well developed centre and has a duty to provide the best treatment.
Good facilities and training for our staff help, along with a state of the art clinic. An ethos of patient care at any medical centre is still important.
Consultations & Confidentiality
Consultations take place in private and all information given by patients during their visit remains confidential. Family members, or friends may of course accompany you, where that is your wish.
You will see an experienced consultant dermatologist, who appreciates the best approach to patient confidentiality. Our IT systems are also configured with this in mind.
Medical Facilities
Our Barnet clinic offers private, congenial consultation rooms and good day surgery facilities. They are equipped to support minor dermatological treatment, or more complex procedures, such as Mohs surgery.
Alongside cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere, a detailed approach to sterilisation procedures is in place, essential for any medical facility.
Flexibility on appointments can also be helpful. Our clinic is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday. By all means see a location map and travel information if this will help.
Payment by medical insurance is welcome, as are all recognised methods of payment. They make no difference to our approach on diagnosis, or treatment, which is always on the basis of medical and individual need.
We appreciate that cost can be a consideration and wish to be transparent on charges for all treatment. Providing a list wouldn’t be helpful, as each patient’s needs are unique. You can see a guide to fees on this website, or ask our staff at any time.
Treating Children
We treat patients of all ages, including those who are under 18 years of age. You are welcome to read more in our paediatric dermatology section.
Our staff are welcoming and experienced in treating children. Any attending our clinics still remain the responsibility of their parent, or guardian.
Discrimination Policy
We do not discriminate due to race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, marital status, or sexual orientation. Skin Care Network are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all clients.
As a medical facility, we naturally provide access and toilet facilities for patients with wheelchair mobility needs. Where we are unable to provide services to any disabled patient, we will seek to give details of an alternative provider.
Annual Survey Of Patients
We conduct an annual assessment of the views of our patients, to inform and improve our service delivery. A summary of the results is available on request.
Should you wish to make a comment, suggestion, or complaint, our staff are there to listen and we have established procedures in place.
Medical Records & Regulation
You have the right to access your records, in accordance with the Access to Health Records Act 1990. Please ask a staff member for details.
Our clinic is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), you can see more from the latest CQC report. All consultants are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and with professional bodies, following the codes of conduct of both.
