Skin Care Network is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the provision of private medical and surgical dermatological treatment, including skin cancer treatment.
All areas were found to be good during their latest inspection in July 2021. This included aspects not listed, such as how input from patients is handled, and the way we monitor our own quality of service.
Whilst the vast majority of care at Skin Care Network is CQC regulated, we also provide treatment in the area of aesthetic medicine. The CQC does not oversee cosmetic elements, such as anti wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
You can see more detail from the CQC report on our website, or read a full copy based on the findings from our latest inspection at The CQC website.
Complaints and The CQC
The Care Quality Commission has no statutory powers to investigate complaints that patients, or members of the public make about independent healthcare providers. Neither do they have a regulatory role to manage, arbitrate or resolve complaints, concerns or allegations.
However, they will take account of all information they receive from the public about registered independent providers, or about unregistered providers who they consider should be registered.
If the CQC suspect that the provider has committed an offence, or a breach of regulations, they are required to take action to bring about improvement. You can contact the CQC through the details below:

Professional Bodies
All our consultants are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) as doctors in the UK should be. You can check up to date and historic information for each of our medical staff, via the GMC registration page.
The GMC have their own facility for reporting concerns about medical staff. The section also offers advice on using a practitioner’s own complaints procedure.
Our consultants are also members of established professional bodies. You will find information in their individual bios, or we can help. These bodies often have codes of conduct, which members are required to follow.
Medical practices in the UK are rightly well regulated and we make every effort to follow guidelines from the bodies listed above. Should you have an issue to raise, they will in most cases ask that you first follow the practice complaints procedure.
