Normal surgical excision is an option, along with laser surgery. Ligation can be used, where a fine band is gently tied around the tag, the reduction in blood supply causing the tag to go in time.

Cryosurgery is a further alternative, freezing the skin tags. The opposite in a sense can be effective, burning the tags off with a carefully directed cauterising blade.
