Each patient who comes to our clinic is unique, as are their needs. Providing a list of possible costs can be misleading, when we prefer transparency.
Any fees, or other costs are discussed at an early stage, neither are they exceptional. Most of our consultants are “fee assured”, which means costs for their services are within guidelines published by medical insurers.
If you are paying for your own treatment, fees are at the same level. They are set according to the treatment and support which will offer the best outcome.
Consultation & Diagnosis
Accurate diagnosis is medically valuable and tends to save treatment costs. For the majority of dermatology cases and several cosmetic needs, we suggest seeing a consultant dermatologist prior to treatment.
Consultation time can vary due to the nature of a condition, tests required, whether this is an initial, or follow up visit. Providing a cost before a chance to discuss your needs would not always make sense.
There will be cases where a consultation with a specialist nurse will be a better solution. We use the traditional name of nurses for staff, although they are highly trained in dermatological, or aesthetic skin care.
They may be the best people to assess, or advise, in which case the consultation fee is lower, without the standard of treatment you receive being affected.
Clarity At All Stages
We did at one time provide a list covering a range of treatment fees and appreciate that the cost of treatment can be a concern. That is why we decided to remove the list, which as with others on the web, may be counterproductive.
Fees can be raised with our staff at any time and are fully discussed before commitment. They are controlled in an overall sense but medical treatment is and should be individual, to be truly effective.
We do not want costs to be unclear, or a barrier but they should be finalised according to your requirements and wishes. You are still welcome to contact us at any time, to ensure clarity on fees, or any aspect of treatment.
