Our Mohs surgeons are consultant dermatologists, with a special interest in skin cancer and in successful paths for a surgical cure. They trained as Mohs surgeons, as the technique is the best available.
Whilst a non surgical approach is preferable, in a fair proportion of cases this is not possible. Our surgeons believe the high success rate and cosmetic preservation Mohs offers should lead skin cancer surgery.
The advanced techniques Mohs represents are recognised internationally, although the main reason our surgeons developed the skill is the curative ability this holds.
A Surgeon’s Skill Focused
The nature of Mohs means carrying out surgery which is both continuous and intermittent. The focus changing from surgery, to analysis, to surgery again and with patient care paramount at all times.
A careful eye on patient wellbeing needs to mix with a microscopic understanding of the area being treated. Each person is unique, so Mohs surgery should be tailored to their singular requirements.
